To speak of the beaches in Porto, Portugal is to speak of Vila Nova de Gaia. You´ll find golden sand beaches, with waves, tranquil waters, isolated and highly visited. The choices are all there for you at the palm of your hand.

Vila Nova de Gaia, Matosinhos, Povoa de Varzim, Vila do Conde, and Canidelo are just a few places where you´ll find beaches in Porto and it´s surrounding areas, near the north coast of Portugal and it´s Costa Verde.

You will find all types of beaches along the coast. Urban, semi-urban, isolated, with waves for surf lovers, tranquil waters, nudist beaches, virgin beaches, and natural swimming pools...The possibilities are endless it´s up to you!

Besides the beaches that we mention in this section, there are others like the Britomar beaches in Vila Nova de Gaia, or Playa Azul, Vila do Conde, Agudela in Matosinhos that are also very well worth visiting. The beach of Fragosa or Da Lada are the ones you´ll find in Povoa de Varzim.

As to what nudist beaches are concerned, there are a few like the Playa do Aterro in Matosinhos or beaches of Campismo, Canedelo, Sao Paio in Vila do Conde.
